Positive Teaching

My group courses start at regular times throughout the year. Each week students complete one topic, which included notes, videos and a task to complete. They will receive personalised feedback on this task. One a week we meet on an online call to discuss the task and any difficulties in school lessons. At the end of the course, students take a 'mock exam' which is marked with individual feedback, and a personal learning roadmap built for them.

No. Group courses allow for students to self study, building confidence and not relying on a tutor to do the work for them. It puts students in touch with other like minded students, and encourages discussion, support and collaborative working. This enhances understanding and application skills. Students still get personalised video feedback, and can ask questions during group calls.

Courses have a one off fee, and run for a set period of time. Students still have access to material after the course has finished for the remainder of their A Level study. Weekly tutoring can cost as much as £100 an hour for a qualified, experienced A Level Chemistry Teacher. That is a huge commitment from parents for a lesson once a week for the duration of a 2 year course (well over £8000)! These courses are competitively priced, come with payment plans, and the option to walk away within the first month of it is not the right fit for you.
